“Since 2000, eight prospective randomized clinical trials, eight epidemiological studies, and two animal studies provide substantial and conclusive scientific evidence that omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) reduce the risks of coronary heart disease.  As explained below, the evidence is very strong and warrants approval of the following claim by the FDA without need for a disclaimer or qualification: Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.”
